Key Words: stroke

We welcome Stroke in Portuguese, and its distinguished Editor, Dr Ayrton R. Massaro.

Stroke represents a major health problem in Brazil. Dr Massaro is one of the key leaders in doing something about it. He leads an exemplary stroke center at the Federal University of Sao Paolo, was a driving force in the initiation of a Brazil Stroke Day in 2006 and, with his colleagues, is working to establish a Brazilian Stroke Network.

Dr Massaro will serve on the Editorial Board of Stroke, which will place him in an excellent position to choose the most appropriate articles for the Portuguese (Brazilian) Edition.

May Stroke in Portuguese prove a powerful weapon in the fight against stroke in Brazil.
