Correction

The version of the article entitled "Metabolic Syndrome and the Risk of Ischemic Heart Disease and Stroke Among Japanese Men and Women" by Iso et al, that published online before print on April 12, 2007 (DOI: 10.1161/STROKEAHA.106.469072), requires three corrections. These corrections were made to both the printed version of the article published in the June issue1 and the current online version found at http://stroke.ahajournals.org. The authors regret these errors.

1. In both the Methods section of the Abstract and Materials and Methods section, under Baseline Examination, there was a conversion error in the criteria of metabolic syndrome: the correct values for nonfasting glucose are ≥7.77 mmol/L (140 mg/dL).

2. The percentage symbols (%) in the parenthesis of confidence intervals should be deleted from the Abstract.

3. In Table 2, the dagger symbol ({dagger}) should be inserted with the values 0.5 (0.3–0.8), which can be found in the high total cholesterol in women row, under the Ischemic Stroke/Multivariable HR (95% CI) column.
