Correction

The article "Thrombolysis for Ischemic Stroke in Children: Data From the Nationwide Inpatient Sample", by Janjua et al,1 is an analysis of the Nationwide Inpatient Sample (NIS), a large, restricted-access, publicly available dataset that is maintained by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). One of the provisions of the NIS Data Use Agreement (DUA), which Dr Janjua signed when given access to the dataset, is that no data observation involving ≤10 observations is to be published. This measure was put in place by AHRQ to protect individual patients’ privacy and to prevent the potential disclosure of personal information. In this article, there are some tabulated cells that are in violation of this provision. This represents an oversight on Dr Janjua’s part and an inadvertent failure to comply with the Data Use Agreement. For this, Dr Janjua apologizes. While Dr Janjua is fully confident that nothing in this article could be used to identify individuals or their personal information, the fact remains that the disclosures are in violation of the AHRQ guidelines. The authors have therefore asked the editors of Stroke to post a revised online version of this article that is in compliance with the AHRQ guidelines, and request that, going forward, authors cite the corrected version of this article.

The online version would replace those cells in all the tables where counts are below or equal to a value of 10 with "<10".

The corrected version can be viewed online at http://stroke.ahajournals.org.
