In the article by Fisher et al¹, "Carotid plaque pathology: thrombosis, ulceration and stroke pathogenesis," which appeared in the February 2005 issue of Stroke, there was a typographical error on page 254. In the paragraph beginning, "Using an eyepiece micrometer... " the plaque surface of 560 mm should have been 560 µm.

The authors apologize for this error.
