We read the letter by Tsivgoulis et al regarding our study1 with great interest. Similar to ours, their work is an important contribution to the stroke literature. We determined the inclusion and exclusion criteria for the studies a priori to best reflect current guideline-based practice of endovascular therapy for patients with acute ischemic stroke.
