We concluded in our recent study that the acupuncture intervention for patients within 3 months after discharging from hospital for stroke was not associated with subsequent depression.1 Dorlo asserted that our negative findings are reasonably expected and suggested that our conclusion should be paraphrased as follows: acupuncture has no role in the prevention of poststroke depression (PSD).
